The Akager National Park is located in the north-east of Rwanda at the border with Tanzania .Its territory is 1200 km sq. .The local landscape is a textbook African savannah with plains to the horizon and towering here and there acacia umbrellas .Akager is at a relatively low altitude above sea level, which makes his visit comfortable for people with any physical training .On the territory of the national park the river of the same name flows, which is the most distant source of the Nile, and thanks to the good supply of moisture, there are many swamps, marshes and small lakes everywhere .
The fauna of the Akager National Park is the classic African: elephants and water buffalo, hippos, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, spotted hyenas, a dozen species of antelope and a fantastic variety of birds.
On the territory you can stay in tents (they can be bought right at the entrance to the park).

From Kigali to the national park - about 2, 5 hours drive. The trip can be arranged in one of the local travel agencies.

Entry to the territory of the National Park of Akager costs $ 30. During the whole visit you will be accompanied by an individual guide-ranger.
