Add a review about the Pskov Kremlin

The heart of ancient Pskov, counting more than a thousand years of history, the Pskov Kremlin, or, as it is called, Krom, is located on a high hill at the confluence of the rivers Pskov and Velikaya. On the area of 3 hectares you can see a remarkable number of ancient monuments and structures: one of the most important defensive parts of the Kremlin Dovmontov town, whose history begins in the 13th century, the ancient Russian fortification "zahab", the decree chambers and the pearl of the architectural complex - the amazing Trinity Cathedral with the bell tower .

Pskov Kremlin - white stone, in the afternoon it is picturesquely reflected in the watery surface, and in the evening it is artfully highlighted. Its fortress walls rise to 6-8 meters and stretch for almost 1 km. Throughout the walls and in the Dovmontovo city there are seven towers, each of which has its own interesting history. Vlasyevskaya Tower, for example, is notable for its tall wooden tent, and the tower of Kutekroma can boast of a solid history - it was built in the 14th century.

From the fortress wall and the Kremlin towers a breathtaking view of the bend of the river and the valley behind it opens up. sunset
