By the beginning of April, spring finally arrives in St. Petersburg. The air temperature in the first few months crosses the zero mark, there are frosts, but not often short-term.

Usually in the first decade of April, not only does the snow completely come down, but ice is also opened on the rivers and canals. The Ladoga and Onega lakes are cleared the last from the ice.

Most often in the beginning of April the thermometer shows + 3-5 days and + 0-2 at night. By the middle of the month, these indicators grow to + 7-10 and + 4-6, respectively. Although sometimes it is these numbers that account for a one-two-day cooling down to -3-0 degrees. At the end of April, air usually heats up to + 11-15 degrees, at night it is + 8-10.

Precipitation in the second spring month drops out less frequently than in the rest of the year, the relative humidity of air also decreases and is about 69%. But the sun does not look very often, mostly the days are cloudy and rather windy.
