Along with matryoshkas, balalaikas and the Kremlin, the blue pattern of Gzhel is one of the most recognizable symbols of Russia. The symbol does not appear anywhere, it is created by hands only 60 km from Moscow, in the once-small village of Gzhel, which has now become the largest center of Russian ceramics.

How to get here
To get to Gzheli is easy, good, it is located not so far from the capital. The most convenient and informative way is to go to Gzhel with an excursion. The trip will take about an hour and a half, during which you will be told interesting facts about places that remain "behind the stern."
If you are driving on your own, you can use the train that runs to the station of the same name from the Kazan railway station. In Gzhel buses run from the metro station "Vykhino" (number 325). The bus goes along Egorievskoe highway, on it you can reach the village by car.
