The international airport of Sevastopol Belbek, established on the basis of Belbek military airfield, is located on the seashore in the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol.
The airport was built in 1941 and was used for a long time exclusively for military purposes. Since the mid-80's, it was used for civilian purposes, in connection with the flights of Gorbachev to the presidential dacha. Currently, the airport remains both civilian and military. A license for international transportation was obtained in 2002.
In 2010, a ceremonial opening of the modified Belbek airport was held. From this moment, regular flights from Vnukovo airport to Moscow take place
How to get here
The airport is located some distance from Sevastopol and 50 km from Simferopol. From the airport to Sevastopol can be reached by shuttle bus, route number 137. The cost of the trip is 10 hryvnas, the regularity of flights in the summer is every 30 minutes. From the north side of the city to the airport you can get there with transfers. Using the boat, you can cross the Sevastopol Bay (fare 2.5 hryvnia), and then take bus No. 36 directly to the airport (fare 6 hryvnia). The travel time is 40-50 minutes
In the future, the Sevastopol-Simferopol railway lines are planned to be moved to the west, closer to the airport.

In connection with the recent crisis and the temporary closure of the airport for civilian flights, the airport building is not intended for an extended stay. There are no shops, cafes or restaurants at the airport. The nearest hotels are located directly in Sevastopol
