A unique natural zone of indescribably beautiful expanses, rocky mountains, blue lake ridges and forests stretches on the eastern slopes of the South Urals .The Ilmensky Reserve is .AT.AND.Lenin is in the Chelyabinsk region, north-east of Miass .The main pride of these places is a strip of picturesque Ilmensky mountains, the famous Spit of the Kosoy Mountain, surrounded by beads of the lakes Argayash, Maly Kisegach, Big Miassovo, Bolshoy Tatkul and others .But, first of all, the number of minerals found here exceeds 260, of which more than 10 were found for the first time in the world .
What to see
Count on a full-fledged picnic on the territory of the reserve is not worth it, but it is easy to arrange it on the shore of Lake Turgoyak, the beauty of which fascinates, and crystal clear waters attracted divers who opened a dive club here .Also perfectly complement the trip to visit the nearby town-apocalypse of Karabash, it is worth looking into the old town of Chrysostom, which has been stunned, the collection of which is amazing and rich .And Taganay National Park will give an amazing touch with the reserved-majestic nature of the Urals .
Beauty of the nature reserve
The mountains here are distinguished by a unique composition of rocks, the main component of which is alkaline nepheline syenite - miaskit .In the thick impenetrable forest swamps there are still preserved ancient mica and topaz copies of the times of the Cossack Prutov .Unique is the spear No. 8 located next to the museum, in which at different times scientists have found impressive sizes of crystals of black mica, the weight of one of which reached 3 poods 33 pounds weight .Zircon more than 21 centimeter in diameter was found in the bowels of the mine No. 12 or zirconia F .F .Blum and P .N .Barbot de Marni .
Curious are the copies of Prutovskaya, Cryolith, Blumovskaya and Saveliev grotto. The largest and deepest Blumovskaya mine recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. All this became the reason for the creation of a mineral reserve with 87 mineral mines, which includes a scientific base stuffed with laboratories, and an original museum of nature in the South Urals.
The latter is one of the largest geological and mineralogical museums in Russia and can boast, indeed, the richest collection of minerals and rocks. It is quite easy to get to the museum if you take a shuttle bus: No. 39 "Reserve - Stroiteley settlement"; № 21 "Nature Reserve - Mashgorodok"; № 66 "Reserve - the village of Dinamo." There is a museum with cf. to Fri. from 10-30 to 16-30, and on weekends - from 10-30 to 15-30. At the same time, the entrance to the museum is free. On the ground floor there is a souvenir shop where you can get entertaining trinkets from stones.
