History
The first people settled here since the 8th or 9th millennium BC. Already by the first millennium the appearance of the present indigenous population of the region, the Udmurts, is beginning to form. It is interesting that they are direct relatives of Finns, belong to the same Finno-Ugric language family. In the middle of the 16th century, Udmurtia became part of Russia, passing under the rule of Tsar Ivan the Terrible together with the Kazan Khanate.
How the autonomous region of Udmurtia began to exist after the revolution of 1917 by the decision of the central executive committee. Its current name, the Udmurt Republic, was educated in 1991 with perestroika. His own constitution was adopted three years later, and his president was elected in 2000.

Sarapul
The most common interpretation of the name of this city is the phrase "sara pool" ("yellow fish"), meaning sterlet, which lives in Kama. But the amazing feature of Sarapul is not fishing, but architecture, which makes it possible to call it "Udmurt Amsterdam".
In Sarapul, an old fire-tower was preserved, with which the duty officers observed the order in the city. Moreover, it is one of the few in the entire Urals. According to eyewitnesses, even skilled climbers will not be able to climb on it: the hidden camera is now looking from the top.

Votkinsk
Votkinsk is truly a pearl of Udmurtia. Despite its relatively small size, it was he who provided world fame to the republic. It was here, in the Vyatka province of the Russian Empire, that the future famous composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was born and grew up.
It is here that the only museum in Russia is the estate of a great musician, who used to be the home of the Tchaikovsky family. After the revolution, they could no longer live here, and the house at different times was given up to the technical school, then under the school, then under the club. To date, after the restoration, the staff, as far as possible, have restored the original situation in the rooms, which it presumably was during the life of the composer.
