Responses information department of the "Thinness of Tourism"
At the Cathedral Square of Vladimir stands the Assumption Cathedral, which is called one of the most beautiful not only in the city, but in all of Russia. This cathedral of the Vladimir diocese (its exact address B. B. Moskovskaya street, 56) is a fine example of white stone architecture. It was built in the XII century, in the XV it was painted by Andrei Rublev himself, fragments of the frescoes have survived to our time.

Do not confuse this cathedral with the Holy Dormition Cathedral with the acting female Princess Kniazhin Monastery on the street. Knyagininskaya, 37a. Also worth seeing is the nearby Nikitskaya church (Knyagininskaya St., 8)

From other, no less significant and beautiful churches, it is necessary to highlight the now-defunct Dimitrievsky Cathedral (B. Moskovskaya st., 60), which is often called Dmitrovsky. On the same street, at B. Morskaya, 106a, there is the Virgin-Assumption Church of the 17th century built. Good Michael-Arkhangelsk (Studenaya Gora st., 1a) and Troitskaya (Dvoryanskaya str., 2) church. Both of them are built of red brick, so the latter is often called the Red Church. And the church of Michael the Archangel has a "namesake" on the street. Krasnoselskaya, 93.
