Popular music competition of young performers in 2015 will replace the location, moving from Jurmala to Sochi. The decision to move from Latvia, where the "New Wave" traditionally took place, the organizers of the festival took part in.

The move is connected in particular with the fact that in 2014 some artists on the wave of deterioration of relations between Russia and the West were not allowed to enter the territory of Latvia. In addition to Sochi, Yalta and Kazan claimed to hold the "New Wave" this year.

In 2015, the decisive stage of the festival will begin on July 20. The final of the contest is planned to be held in the Olympic Park of Sochi
