Entertainment, excursions and sightseeing Chufut-Kale
In the western, the most ancient part of the city, numerous economic premises cut down in the caves, the ruins of the mosque and the mausoleum of the daughter of the Golden Horde of Tohtamysh Janyke-khanim of 1437 have been preserved. Two kenasses (Karaite temples) and one residential estate, consisting of two houses, were well preserved. Today it houses an exposition telling about the culture of the Karaites.
In the eastern part of the city there was a mint that had not survived until our days, where the Crimean coins were minted and many houses were minted. In one of the estates lived a famous Karaite scholar Avraam Samruilovich Firkovich.
On the approach to the Small City Gate, a siege well Tik-Kuyu with hundreds of meters of underground tunnels and galleries was recently discovered. On its walls come across drawings, soot from oil lamps or torches, inscriptions in Aramaic and Latin. Not far from the Little Gates of Chufut-Kale are found the remains of a masonry tower, which is connected to the well by an underground gallery. A clay jug with 4 thousand gold and silver coins of different time, dignity and origin was found here.
