Beach holidays in Big Yalta
Those who often go to the Crimea know that the settlements of the Big Yalta have regular transport links, and those who want to diversify their beach vacation can travel from the main point of stay to the surrounding beaches. The duration of the swimming season is at this - on average, a warm, suitable for swimming weather lasts from May 17 to October 23.
Beaches of the Big Yalta are very diverse. The western part of the area from Foros to Cape Ai-Todor (this is where the famous Lastochkino nest is located) is characterized by picturesque rocks and small coves with clear and clear water, a sharp break in the bottom and gravel-pebble beaches, where sometimes large blocks of strong volcanic rocks or marble limestone - you should be careful. Unlike sandy beaches, the water here after any storm remains transparent.
For Ai-Todor, the coastline of Yalta is no longer so homogeneous: quiet, gentle bays alternate with mighty capes. The city of Yalta and the village of Gurzuf are located in large semicircular bays surrounded by mountain amphitheatres, their beaches are ennobled and equipped with everything necessary.
Popular resorts and their attractions
Of course, the most popular resort of Big Yalta is Yalta itself. The most famous place here is the embankment, from which a beautiful view opens. Not far from Yalta is Yalta Reserve. It was created to protect unique mountain forests, which give the southern coast of the Crimea healing air. At 7 kilometers higher, to the west of the road, a path to the base of the Wuchang-su falls (Flying Water), the highest in the Crimea, is about 100 meters away.
The second most popular and oldest of the Crimean resorts Gurzuf is located 16 km from Yalta. Right behind the famous Ayu-Dag (Bear Mountain) stretch the buildings, parks and beaches of the International Children's Center "Artek". But Gurzuf is also famous for the fact that Chekhov's famous White Dacha is located nearby.
In the town of Nikita is the world-famous Nikitsky Botanical Garden, founded in 1812. Its collection numbers more than 28 thousand plants from all over the world.
Massandra village is famous all over the world thanks to the wine-making factory of the same name. Of course, the palace "capital" of the great Yalta is Livadia. Many noblemen built their estates here in the second half of the 19th century, but first of all Livadia is known as the summer residence of Tsar Nicholas II. It was in the White Palace of Nicholas II that the famous Yalta Conference of 1945 was held. Now Livadia on a par with Oriana is synonymous with "elite" rest.

One of the largest cities of Big Yalta - Alupka, from year to year attracts its loyal fans not only with clean beaches, but also with a magnificent European park, broken around the famous Vorontsov Palace.
The village of Foros was used in Soviet times for the recreation of high-ranking party figures. It is here that the legendary "object of Dawn" is located, where former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev was held during the August 1991 putsch. Today, rest is available here and ordinary tourist, and the former "elitism" and intact Foros favorably distinguishes it from other resorts of Big Yalta.

From the railway station of Simferopol to Yalta by trolleybus can be reached in 2, 5 hours. In Yalta, there are city trolleybuses (about 0, 08 USD) and "minibuses" (0, 15 USD). The settlements of Big Yalta are connected by regular buses and "minibuses".
