Lisbon to Porto: how to get there?

Responsible information department of "Tourism Subtlety"
Lisbon and Porto are divided approximately 300 kilometers. Such distances do not need to be overcome by air, there is enough ground transportation. Therefore, direct flights between these cities are few and they are expensive (within 200 euros). So it's easier, more convenient and much cheaper to go by car, train or bus.

Renex's comfortable buses are praised especially. They travel from Lisbon to Porto about 3.5 hours, the ticket for an adult passenger costs 19 EUR one way and 34.2 for both.

Two types of trains run on the Lisbon-Porto route, high-speed Alfa Pendular (AP) and Intercidades (IC). They can be boarded at the Santa Apolonia train station or the Oriente subway station in Lisbon, they arrive in Porto to Campanha station. Tickets can be bought not only in the ticket offices, but also in vending machines at stations. The tourist arrives in Porto and can get there by local train to Sao Bento station

The journey time on AP trains is about 2.5 hours, the ticket for them costs 30-42 EUR depending on the class of the place. The trip to IC will be longer, up to 3 hours, but cheaper, 24-35.5 EUR.
