And when will the gay parade in Amsterdam go in 2012 and is there a difference from last year's?

Answers Anastasia Serebryakova, ClickVoyage
Every year in the first week of August in Amsterdam, a very non-trivial and very eccentric festival - a gay and lesbian parade - Amsterdam Gay Pride is held. This year it will be held from 3 to 5 August. During this parade, anyone with an unconventional sexual orientation can openly declare their homosexuality.

The first such parade took place in 1996, and in 2001 homosexual marriages were legalized, making Amsterdam a kind of "gay capital of the planet" .

During the enchanting parade that takes place on the canals of Amsterdam, over them floats more than 80 decorated boats with elegant participants in the parade - gay and lesbian. Boats start at 2pm from Westerdok, pass through Prinsengracht and finish on the Amstel River

All the embankments of the canals during the festival are packed to capacity: spectators with folding chairs and food begin to arrive early in the morning to catch the best seats and comfort to watch the parade!
