How to get to Zhabljak
There are several automobile routes leading to the city, although their quality still leaves much to be desired. There is also a small airport, but you need to travel a distance of one hundred and seventy kilometers to the international airport in Podgorica from Zabljak.

Resorts
The most popular and well-equipped resorts are Yavorovcha, Savin Kuk and Stutz, where you can practice all winter sports for four months from December to April. And for those who can not even imagine summer without snow, the Debeli Namet road is open, where the snow cover keeps all year round.
In addition to the unique natural conditions in Zabljak, there is also a well-developed resort infrastructure - rental stations for ski equipment are working, a whole team of professional instructors is at your service, and a huge staff of rescuers is responsible for the safety of tourists. It's amazing how such a small country could fit in so many stunning natural beauties, most of which are concentrated in the Zabljak area - these are lakes, rivers, canyons, amazing caves, and stunning mountain slopes, and much more.
For sure, nobody will be indifferent to the rafting along the canyon of the Tara River, which is considered the deepest in Europe. At eighteen kilometers of the unique river route, designed for rafting, you can count more than twenty rapids and small waterfalls. Not less exciting is the conquest of the canyon Nevidio. Here tourists are offered to jump from three-meter waterfalls and swim in small crystal clear mountain lakes. It is such an extreme kind of rest that is called canyoning.
Mount Durmidor is also famous for its lakes, the most famous of which is the Black Lake. It consists of two lakes, which sometimes, merging, form a real waterfall. This lake in the people is called "the eyes of the mountains". And its name it received due to the fact that in its waters reflects the mountain, giving water a special dark shade. The water in this lake is very clean and, what is especially pleasing, you can swim there.
Special attention should be paid to the local mountain caves, which number about three hundred, and despite the fact that many of them have not yet been explored. The most popular among tourists is the so-called ice cave, located at an altitude of more than two thousand meters above sea level and considered one of the main attractions of Zabljak. Here, constantly melting glacial water forms a whole lake around which bizarre forms of stalagmites and stalactites grow.
But even for those who are not an adherent of extreme rest, in Zabljak there will be a lot of interesting entertainments, starting from hiking through picturesque surroundings and ending with swimming in mountain lakes.
