To go by car from Moscow to Riga is possible through Belarus and through Russia. The difference between the routes is about 90 km, the path of Russia is shorter. The road to the Tver region is of quite decent quality, but after that you need to be extremely careful and careful: the whole roadway in potholes and pits. A good road (highways A12, A6, A7) begins already with the Latvian side, which still needs to cross the border crossing point.
