If you are lucky enough to go to Japan, do not pass by the amazing museum The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, located in the city of Kanazawa. It is famous for its unusual exhibits, and especially the work of Leandro Ehrlich Fake Swimming Pool.
Fake Swimming Pool is an installation that is a pool, at the bottom of which you can safely walk . How can this be done, you ask? Everything is simple: despite the most natural appearance (in the pool there is a ladder and bows and everything, everything should be in it), the crystal clear water twitches with a shallow ripple, and so you want to swim in it ... But, everything you see - not real . In the roof basin two transparent plexiglass sheets are installed at a distance of 10 cm from each other, between which the water splashes . Due to this, an illusion effect is created .
Address: 1-2-1 Hirosaka, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa, Japan 920-8509; tel .: + 81-76-220-2800
The entrance to the museum is free, for some exposition fee (from 300 to 1000 yen). Opening hours of the museum: from 10 to 6, on the spots and sub to 8 pm. Weekend - Monday.
