What is the best time to ski in the Sella Ronda area so that the snow is not wet. We want to go either from March 6 to March 20, or from March 20 to March 27. Which period is best to choose?
Answer Andrey Ozolin
The skiing area of Val di Fassa, and in particular of Sella Ronda, is at a moderate altitude. Unlike, say, Cervinia, it is better to go for a drive in the winter, and in the spring in the afternoon the snow usually thaws - on the slopes there are many dense snowdrifts. If you still visit such resorts in spring, skate always early in the morning and before lunch.
Important points: Sella-Ronda has two directions of detour - green and orange. For some reason, most prefer the green direction, and the queue for lifts that serve this ring, usually more in the green direction. So start with orange signposts
