What is a beach holiday in Sicily?
Responses the information department of the "Subtlety of Tourism"
The coast of Sicily is stretched for 1200 km, but not all of these are beaches - there are sheer cliffs leaving the cliff right into the sea and cities with their usual non-beach rhythm, and hidden places, to which there are no roads. However, the remaining coastal areas make it possible to say with confidence that the beaches of Sicily are considered one of the best in Italy
Perhaps the most popular are the beaches of the east coast from Messina - Taormina to Alcantara, plus the coast from Etna San Marco to Catania. In the direction of Syracuse, sandy beaches stretch in alternation with rugged cliffs hidden from human eyes bays.
The west, the windy, and the beaches are less comfortable. Another thing is northern Sicily: it's less hot here, the winds from the Sahara are not blowing, green, and along the coast there are magnificent yachts. And do not deny yourself the pleasure to drive to the small islands of Sicily, located very close to the coast - there are the most beautiful and clean beaches in the resort.
