How to get
Buses are the easiest way to get to Taormina. Interbus connects the resort with Messina (€ 2.83, 1½ hours) and Catania (€ 4.40, 1½ hours). Catania buses run between the station, which is 2 km from the center, in Giardini-Naxos district and the city center (€ 1.85).
Another option is the train from Catania (1st / 2nd class € 4.45 / 3, 45 minutes) or Messina (1st / 2nd class € 7.45 / 6, 40 minutes), then the bus to the city center.

Beaches of Taormina
Within quick reach on the funicular - excellent beaches of the Ionian Sea. Plus, five kilometers from Taormina is the village of Giardini-Naxos, two thousand years ago it was a Greek botanical garden. Entertainment, excursions and attractions
Open Greek Theater, the Torre dell'Orogio. Area 9 April is the largest square in Taormina, on which there is a medieval chapel of the 12th century and a small church of St. Augustine.
