The main railway station of Florence Stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella, built in 1934, currently serves about 59 million passengers a year. Every day trains run to many European cities from the station, and the most popular destinations are Venice, Rome and Milan

The station building is located in the heart of Florence at Piazza della Stazione 1, 50123 Firenze, close to the most visited by tourists attractions. Nearby is the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, in honor of which the train station is named, and the Duomo cathedral is only 10 minutes walk by foot.
