The Venice transport card is a travel ticket that allows you to save on trips on most types of public transport in Venice and Mestre, which carries the unofficial title of "trans-shipment point" to Venice itself. Their cost depends on the time of the action: EUR 18 for 12 hours, EUR 20 for 24 hours, EUR 25 for 36 hours, EUR 30 for 48 hours, EUR 35 for 72 hours and EUR 50 for 7 days. In this case, the travel can be replenished (extended) in a special machine without buying new cards.

Travelers between the ages of 14 and 29 can save even more on their travels around Venice by purchasing a Rolling Venice Card from the ticket kiosk - a narrow booklet with a barcode on the back cover and empty places to fill in personal information (date of purchase, last name, first name, passport number ). Its price is 4 EUR, and it gives an opportunity to buy a 72-hour travel card for only 18 EUR.

All tickets are valid for unlimited vaporetto trips (except for Alilaguna (motorboats to the airport) and several domestic non-tourist routes), for trams and buses, including buses on the island of Lido (with the exception of buses to Marco Polo Airport - No. 4, 5 , 15 and 45). In addition, the travel cards do not operate in trains, minimeters, or in ATVO buses (FlyBus).

Thus, according to the Venetian transport map from Mestre to Venice you can go by tram (so far one line operates, but the city authorities promise to open one more - in the historical part of Venice); on buses connecting some parts of the Mestre with the island part (Piazzale Roma or to the island of Tronchetto) and, of course, on the "vaporetto" (large boats or small motor ships) - the main transport of the island part of the city, following certain routes marked with yellow and white booths along the canal banks.

Venetian transport card can be purchased via the Internet - on the spot you will exchange an electronic ticket for a plastic card, which is activated in special devices on the first trip - from this moment and the time of its action is counted. The travel itself without validation is valid for several months. Travel, as well as one-time tickets, must be validated for each trip in both land and water transport.
