How to get
Today, only three roads lead to the city, two from Switzerland, through the pass Forcola di Livigno (2, 315 m, open only in the summer) and the tunnel Munt La Schera; and one of Italy, via the pass Foscagno Pass (2, 291 m)
The buses run by the resort and the outskirts of Alta-Valtellina. The blue route connects Valdidentro, Bagni Nuovi and Vecchi and Livigno. In addition, five times a day (departure every two hours) a bus leaves from the resort to Pontresina.
The ski basses (blue and green route) operate daily, departing every hour from 7.30 am to 8 pm.
Shopping
Livigno is a duty-free trade area, so taxes that make up a significant appendage to the cost of clothes or ski equipment are not charged here. So shopping in Livigno - above all praise. The first tax law, by the way, was signed in Livigno in the 16th century, then confirmed during the Austro-Hungarian rule around 1840.

For the beginners in Livigno, two skiing areas can be distinguished. In the direction of Carosello from the town of Livigno departs a lot of drag lifts, serving the "blue" tracks. It is here that the best conditions for beginners.
Livigno has trained more than 60 km of cross-country ski runs. For snowboarders there is a Halfpipe, a Border Park and a Bordercross track in Motolino, a fan park near Fontane Vetta.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions Livigno
The Church of St. Mary was built in the late 19th century on the site of the previous, non-preserved church. The present building completely copies the old church. Other noteworthy buildings are the Caravaggio church with cute frescoes, the San Rocco church, built in the early 16th century to protect the village from the pestilence. Other attractions - this breathtaking panorama from the highest peaks of Livigno and the beautiful view of the valley.
Today Livigno is home to artists, sculptors, writers, musicians and actors who organize collective exhibitions of paintings, photographs, handicrafts and other art objects. Among them - Lydia Silvestri, whose works are popular with celebrities, and are in private collections around the world.
There are also two memorials in Livigno: monumento ai Caduti, built in 1968 in Piazza del Comune, and Filo di Arianna, which the artist created based on the myth of the thread of Ariadne. The sculptor was helped by locals and gapers.
