Zalakaros is a small health resort 20 km from Balaton. The composition, as well as the quantity of medicinal water reserves, made the Zalakaros bathing pool one of the most important in Hungary. Local water refers to an alkali-chloride hydrocarbonate group, it also contains iodine, bromine, hydrogen sulfide and fluorine. Such a combination with radioactive substances is extremely rare, and in Europe there is nothing like it anywhere else.
