How to get from Budapest to Eger?

Responsible information department of "Subtleties of Tourism"
The road from Budapest to Egera by train takes approximately 2 hours. You can go both with a transfer, and a direct train. The train schedule and ticket prices can be found on the carrier's website. On the site you can see timetables for international departures from Budapest, for example to Vienna, to Prague or to Venice. If only direct trains are of interest, put a tick in front of the column "direct connections only."

The ticket offices of the domestic Hungarian destinations are in the right half of the station (if you stand with your back to the central entrance), but you can buy an "internal" ticket in the underground hall of the station. Unfortunately, the cashiers of the "internal directions" are not very "friendly" with the English language (unlike the cashiers of "international cash offices")

The tickets do not specify the exact time and day of departure and arrival. Also, on the ticket in brackets the station "Fuzesabony" is indicated, that is, this ticket will be valid even if you go with a transfer.

The cost of a round-trip ticket is about 16 EUR
