Entertainment, excursions and attractions Hajduszoboszlo

In spite of the fact that Hajdusosboslo is famous primarily as a balneological resort, one can safely say about this town that it is "not by water alone". There are many interesting and beautiful monuments of culture and architecture, museums of different subjects. For example, one of the main and most beautiful sights of the city is the Bell House (Zoltan Rat). In this house, thanks to the efforts of the two Edith Oborsil and Tibor Aenei, a magnificent collection of bells cast by unique technology was collected.

One of the symbols of the city is the church of St. .Laszlo, which was erected in the 18th century .Its walls are decorated with frescoes, which depicts stories about the opening in Hajdúszoboszl of curative water .This church was once visited by the Bishop of Krakow, Karol Wojtyla, who later became Pope John Paul II II .Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of the city's inhabitants, like all Hungary, Catholics, there are churches of other Christian denominations in Hajdúszoboszló .For example, a Byzantine-style temple belonging to a local (not numerous) Greek Catholic community .And on one of the city squares called Calvin stands the Reformed Church, standing, among other things, on the foundation of the 15th century .Near the church in a somewhat ruined condition there is an ancient fortress wall .

Numerous museums of the city are also interesting. In the Museum of Bochkai, named so in honor of Prince Istvan Bochkai, one can see objects of everyday life and wardrobe, characteristic of the local population. For example, shepherd's armeniac or embroidered in traditional style women's dresses. Presented here are such interesting products as upholstery for an occasion, decorations, harnesses and much more. Interesting are the Museums of Gaidatsky Folk Art and the Picture Gallery.
