Accommodation conditions
Camping sites can differ in terms of the level of services provided and their infrastructure, but in each of them there is a necessary minimum - a shower, toilets, a kitchen, a parking space. In higher level campsites (small cottages that can be rented for a couple of days or a whole week), you can rent a boat or bicycle, rent fishing gear, send home a letter by e-mail, play football or volleyball.
Popular camping sites among Russian campgrounds
One of the nearest campsites to the Russian border is near the amusement park "Tyukkimaki". It is located near the town of Kouvola, where you can also find a campsite located on the lake.
A very nice campsite is located near the city of Tampere. It is located on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi and can accommodate several hundred guests in its cottages at the same time.
But on the seashore next to the city of Kotka there is a whole rest center "Santalahti". This camping offers much more services than usual - here you can not only relax, but also hold a seminar or arrange a business meeting.
Accommodation costs
Camping sites are good because they can spend the night at a relatively small price. The cost of accommodation depends primarily on the season. The highest - during school holidays and vacations - this is usually summer, as well as the beginning and end of the year. In the same period, the skiing season, which lasts until March, falls through.
In addition, campsites can raise prices during city days or any events, for example, music festivals. Therefore, before going to Finland, it is not out of place to ask whether there will be a vacation for any local holiday.
The parking fee includes a parking space and a place for a tent - it costs about 15 EUR per day. Additional fee for each person - for 5 EUR, for children - twice cheaper. Well, sometimes you have to pay extra for electricity - 5 EUR.
