Tallinn - St. Petersburg by car: how to get there?

Responses information department of "Tourism subtleties"
Most often motorists go from Tallinn to St. Petersburg by the shortest route through Narva (Estonia) - Ivangorod (Russia). The length of this route is approximately 380 km, if you go through the border points Luhamaa - Shumilkino or Koidula - Kunichin Gora, the distance increases by almost 100 km.

The Estonian roads are all good in quality, but the domestic routes are the least censured on the highway Pskov. Strongly broken sections of the road often meet on the others.

The path across the border in Narva is in great demand, therefore it is often loaded with cars. Cars pass customs on a first-come-first-served basis, or through advance booking. It is better to use this service and reduce the time of departure from Estonia.

You can reserve a place in the queue on the site estonianborder.eu. Choose the desired border point, the number and the hour in which you plan to be there, register the brand and number of the car. Then pay 1.10 EUR for the service and 2.50-4.50 EUR for using the waiting area, where you will wait for the invitation to go through the border. At the ordered hour you will pass it, avoiding delays
