In total, about two thousand underground caves have been discovered on the territory of the Czech Republic, some of which are open to tourists, others have an important archaeological significance due to the remains of prehistoric animals and plants found in them.

The largest cave system in the Czech Republic - "Caves on Pomezia" with narrow passages and high corridors, passing into small domes, numerous cascades and droppers. Most tourists visit here the Ice Dome, the Roman Lazne Corridor, the Bela Dome, the Dome in the troubled city, etc.

The Zagrashovske Aragonite Caves are located in the Teplice nad Bečvou resort, formed due to hot mineral springs (it's hot in here!). The unique beauty of the caves is achieved thanks to the mineral aragonite, as well as stalagmites and karstic deposits.

In the protected area of ​​the Czech Karst near Křivoklát and Karlštejn in the middle Bohemia, it is possible to visit the Konepruske caves with the age of 400 million years. The 600-meter-long tourist route runs through three high-altitude levels and necessarily includes a visit to the hall where the secret workshop of counterfeiters was located in the 15th century.

The oldest cave of the Czech Republic and the whole of Central Europe is the "Cave at Spicaku" - it is mentioned in the annals of 1430. Underground corridors of marble stretch for several hundred meters, the tourist route is 230 m.

In addition, in the Czech Republic there are many salt caves: about 170 of them are used to repair the respiratory system and to treat allergies.
