Lazne-Bogdanech is a small picturesque and fast-growing resort town in the valley of the Labe River near Pardubice. It is quite quiet and nice, and besides for those who want to relax on the waters there is all the necessary infrastructure. Someone may seem bored here, but in this case there is nothing to stop for a quarter of an hour to the nearest Pardubice.

The first bathhouse in Bogdaneche was opened in 1897, and this determined the further development of the city as a resort. Various disorders of the motor apparatus and other diseases were treated here. The status of the resort Bogdanech received in 1963, the status of the city - in 1971, and ten years later began to be called as it is now. Today, the Lázně-Bogdaneca spa center is a well-known complex with a charming old colonnade and many hulls for procedures surrounded by greenery.

The first written mention of the settlement with the name Bogdanech occurs in the middle of the 14th century, although the village appeared to appear much earlier . At the turn of the 15th century a quiet agricultural settlement It was a real boom when the owner of Pardubice, Willem Pernštejnski, created a huge network of more than 300 ponds around Bogdaneca . How to get there

In order to get to Lazne-Bogdanech, you need to get to Pardubice first. It's not difficult: the way from Prague by train or car takes about an hour and a quarter. From Pardubice to the resort can be reached by car or taxi for 10 minutes.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions Lazne-Bogdanecha

For the present look of Lazne -Bogdaneca meets the well-known Czech architect J. Gochar, who rebuilt the whole center in accordance with the resort status of the town in the 1920s. Now here you can see fountains, lawns, low-rise buildings and all other attributes of the provincial vacation spot. Also on the territory of the center there is a mini-golf course and a sauna.

From the original untold number of Bogdanech reservoirs, not all have reached our time, but enough is enough. The two largest, Bogdanech and Matka, are considered the most important nesting places for waterfowl and wading birds, and migratory birds stop here during migrations. A nature trail surrounds them around the reserve.

Events Lazne-Bogdaneca

There are enough recreational and sporting events in the town during the year. These are dances, concerts, and art exhibitions.
