Where in Croatia are the waterfalls?
The Plitvice Lakes themselves were formed by numerous waterfalls cascading from different heights. In total, 140 waterfalls fall into these lakes, creating fanciful "terraces" and ridges. The largest waterfall of the Plitvice Lakes Reserve is the 72 m high waterfall of the Sástavtsi, which throws water into the most beautiful lake. Smaller waterfalls slowly roll water through low thresholds, forming cascades.
Krk National Nature Park is the oldest in Croatia, and its visiting card is the beautiful waterfall "Skradinsky Beech". In fact, there are 20 waterfalls, separated by calcareous sediments. Stepped streams at its foot - "Silver necklace" - so named because of splashing water, sparkling in the sun, are considered unique in Europe. Its waters flow into Lake Vysovachko
