Buinichskoe field
Mogilevsky district, st. Buinichi This is a well-known memorial complex near the village of Buinichi, near Mogilev. It is an arch, a connected alley with a 27-meter chapel, made in the traditional style of Eastern Slav architecture. On the walls of light marble are written the names of hundreds of soldiers and militiamen. In the center of the memorial is the "Book of Memory". Under the chapel is a crypt for the reburial of soldiers, whose remains are still found by search groups.
Polykovichsky Krynica
Mogilev district, p. Polykovichi Polykovichsky Krinitsa is a well-known to all Belarus monument of nature, a miracle source, discovered in the middle of the 16th century. Located at the bottom of the ravine, the source gathers its waters in a stream that flows into the Dnieper. Two centuries ago, the Count of Rimsky-Korskov built a stone grotto and the chapel of St. Paraskeva at the spring, after which people from all over the region came to collect healing water. Particularly crowded here is the feast of Epiphany.
Astrologer Sculpture and Sundial
Mogilev, ul. Leninskaya, 47 What is the connection between Belarusian Mogilev and Egypt? Certainly there is, not without reason in the city installed a sundial. One of the most popular attractions of the locals is the Astrologer's statue on the Place of Stars. Nearby there are 12 chairs, corresponding to the signs of the zodiac. The whole sculptural composition is a sundial. And the acting! On them you can compare the time.
Ethnographic Belarusian village
Mogilev district, Buinichi village To the Mogilev zoo there is a stylized "Ethnographic Belarusian village" - an open-air museum. It can not be said that this is a hundred percent ethnographic museum, because when it was created, old materials were not used. It is rather a beautiful stylization, which tells about the life of Belarusians in the 19th century. Rites, rituals, culture - in general, everything is as it should be.
Mogilev Town Hall
Mogilev, ul. Leninskaya, 1a In Belarus there are only a few city halls, one of them is in Mogilev. As in the case of Vitebsk, this city received the Magdeburg right and became free. The construction of the Town Hall began in 1578. The Town Hall building was the highest in the city. High-ranking guests of Mogilev liked to come here. For example, from the observation platform the city was admired by the Empress Catherine II.
Mogilev Zoo
Mogilevsky District, Buinichi Village, ul. Orlovsky 1 In the early 2000s, teachers and students of the Mogilev Forestry College created an animal sanctuary in the village of Buinichi. They received a large territory in the forest zone, where they placed spacious cells and huge enclosures for animals. Over time, the zoo has grown to 80 hectares. Today not only Belarusian animals can be found here. In the zoo there live beautiful wolves, bears, badgers, moose, roe deer, wild boars and the majestic Ussuri tiger.
Moscow courtyard
Mogilev, ul. Leninskaya, 59 - 61 You can get to Mogilev from Moscow in a few seconds. To do this, you need to be in the courtyard, which is stylized as the Russian capital. So the Moscow courtyard is in the center, on Leninskaya Street. It is painted with pictures of Moscow motives, and the playground is made in the form of the Kremlin. A copy of the Wall of Victor Tsoi is nearby.
Tula Yard
Mogilev, ul. Leninskaya 47 And what links Mogilev with Tula? Another, now a Tula courtyard! Here you can meet a huge samovar-fountain, which you can safely climb - it is not hot. And there is also a playground in the form of the Tula Kremlin. In the courtyard you will see images of Tula, the hero and St. George ribbon
Mogilev - the regional city of Belarus on the banks of the Dnieper with more than seven centuries of history. And to this day a lot of historical buildings have survived here, and the city itself is beautiful and well-groomed.
Arriving in Mogilev on the train meets the renovated railway station, whose building was built in the tsarist era, in 1902. Near it stands a bronze cast station warden with a kerosene lamp and an open bregeht. However, this is not the only frozen figure in the city, built forever in the 80's. 19th century Mogilev theater of red brick in the neo-Russian style is a lady with a dog - poured by Natalia Goncharova!
At the intersection of Pervomayskaya and Lenin (completely pedestrian) streets, on Soviet Square on the high bank of the Dnieper there is an eternal fire and a memorial to the warriors of the Second World War. In addition, it offers a magnificent view of the valley of the river and residential areas of Mogilev, where you can get to the main in the city of Dniprovsky Bridge.
Cemetery is a specific sight. There are so many different burial places in Mogilev that I want to compare them. Especially since many cemeteries are still pre-revolutionary. For example, in the city there is a Jewish cemetery, Polish, Voskresenskoye. And also special: Cathedral - the oldest, where only the rich Orthodox were buried; Lutheran - for residents of the Lutheran faith, mostly Germans; Military - for the burial of soldiers who died during the First World War.
