When is the ski season in Austria?
Responds to Information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The Alps occupy most of the territory of Austria, therefore it is called one of the most skiing countries in Europe. Ski resorts in Austria are, as a rule, traditional alpine villages, rather than huge modern complexes. Similar places on the map of Austria are more than 1000 - here anyone will find the resort to your taste.
In total, tourists are available 314 kilometers of tracks - and all of them can be visited without any restrictions when purchasing a single ski pass ticket. In the 2013-2014 season, lovers of downhill skiing are offered a 10-day subscription, which runs from October 2013 to May 2014, for 345 euros - and they, pleasantly, can be used twice a year, or even more.
At some resorts there are no difficult routes, these are places for skiing tourists, only mastering skis or snowboards. Most of the ski resorts in Austria are medium-altitude - before they were considered a small layer of snow, but last winter in Europe they protested this claim.
