Obergurgl trails
In 1997, the eight-seater cable car Top-Express connected the previously independent regions of Hochgurgl and Obergurgl, forming a single ski region with 110 km of trails and 24 lifts. 35 km of blue, 55 km of red and 20 km of black trails are equipped in the united skiing area.

Nature park Otztal
Of interest in the vicinity is the natural park of Ottztal (Naturpark Oetztal), which is considered one of the youngest parks in Austria - the park was founded in 2006. On its territory there are cedar forests, Biosphere Reserve Gurgler Kamm and Lake Piburg.
The territory of the park covers about 380 square meters of alpine terrain, a third of which is covered by glaciers and mountains. And here live Alpine newts, and northern owls and pretty unpredictable marmots. In 1991, on the territory of the park at an altitude of 3,200 m, an ice mummy of a chalcolithic man was discovered, known as Ottsi and considered the oldest mummy of a man found in Europe.
